How to style linens

Colour first

Pick linens after your florals so the petals pop rather than disappear — blush on ivory, burgundy on champagne, white on black.

Mix textures

A sequin head table with satin guest tables, or velvet runners over linen, adds depth without adding colour.

Floor-length

Floor-length cloths hide table legs and storage and photograph far better than lap-length.

Chairs count too

Chair covers and sashes are optional with Chiavari chairs, but they transform a banquet-hall chair.
